A great short history. Israel has been playing with the West, since before the Mandate. Britain's betrayal of its promise in the McMahon - Hussein letters, and then the Balfour Declaration, have each undermined Palestine's identity, dispossed the rightful owners, and rewarded land theft and terrorism.

The Nakba should have been recognised for what it was: Mass murder and ethnic cleansing, ignored by a war-weary West.

So the genocide continues, and Netanyahu humiliates another American president. This 'war' is just another step in the total removal of Palestinians from their homeland. Recognising "Palestine" is like throwing butterflies to starving children.

Actually it's not, it reads like the Bibi book of stupid. Nick calls hamas terrorists, they are not and never have been. He rants about the ''horrific'' attack on 7 October 2023 as if all the Israeli media haven't reported since 10 October 2023 that Gallant ordered the murder of most of the Israelis to avoid hostages being taken, that hell fire missiles and tanks were used on the army bases by Israel and the only truly horrific thing hamas supposedly did was to destroy the notion that Israel cannot be raided. I am disappointed in this by Nick.

And the UN notes prove the west knew about the ethnic cleansing in 1949 and didn't give a damn.

Thanks Nick - a superb and very welcome, detailed analysis of the futility of the ‘two-state solution’.

Albanese’s tactical support of the concept illustrates Labor’s inability, or unwillingness, to institute any measures that could have a meaningful effect of Israel’s continued slaughter.

I am so disappointed in this nonsense. Hamas are not a terrorist group for one, they have the legally enshrined right to resist the illegal occupation by means as enshrined in the Geneva conventions, https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2017/7/20/palestinians-have-a-legal-right-to-armed-struggle let their UK jewish lawyer educate you.

They are only called terrorists by 9 states, one of them fucking Nauru. Your language might as well be Bibi's propaganda work sheet.

I would argue against the assertion that nobody expected Hamas to mount any serious attacks. I believe a lot of evidence exists to suggest the Israelis had plenty of warnings of what happened on October 7.
