The Albanese government sailed through its week of climate announcements, courtesy of media coverage that obsessed over the political fallout instead of the actual policy.
When will the ALP get over itself - and its ghosts - and implement a price on carbon? It's one of the few things that's been shown to work in reducing emissions.
The ALP needs to work with The Greens, and the climate (science, technology, economics, planning) experts to make the laws which will facilitate the required (ecologically sustainable, financially viable, and socially responsible) transition away from the (~60%) remaining deeply harmful fossil fuels to the much safer (but not perfect -mining and generation space) (>95%) rollout of renewable energy. We know it can be done here, and must be done everywhere, if we are to remain viable and have a liveable climate.
